The application is for playing on-line stream radios. It is not supposed to use for playing regular mp3 files, even if they are on remote sites.

Is it a bug in your phone. In reality Java-mobile player is just a wrapper around phone's native player. It depends on how good Java-support was implemented and developed for this model. There is nothing that I can do.
From my own experience and many other users I can say that Sony Ericsson has the best implementation for Java-mobile.

Gaps during playing is common issue of all J2ME media applications. Please read support page.

The BlackBerry version doesn't seem to work with the Storm, even though there's a version on GetJar that supposedly does. It installs fine, but it doesn't respond to any touch-screen input.
Also, it seems to be incompatible with StormSlider.

As far I see they use FLASH for media broadcasting. Java-mobile does not support it. If you find a stream link with mp3 audio you can add it to Radio List. See on-line help for details.

| Live365 Support (08:21:09 04.04.2009) |

Hello again Sergey,
I actually found a copy on the web of the 1.92 demo, and installed it on my Sony Ericsson TM506 phone. I like the simpler interface and faster loading (less graphic intensive) better than 2,02.
I am able to add stations in the 1.92 demo, unlike 2.02. However, I still cannot get any Live365 stations to play. I added their URLs in "add a station" and always got an error message. For instance, the URL:
http://www.live365.com/play/293353?auth=585853aaf79f0c8a8d4923b4aef63ba8-1238252052-kxlu1&tag=live365&token=d44a7a319e153b928cb07a5baf433c29-5406280080200000&sid=72.67.129.138-1238220928341653&lid=803
I tried simpler versions of it (and others) too, like:
http://www.live365.com/play/293353
Nothing ever worked. Always error messages!
Then I noticed your feature to load presets from live365.com. Well, I never before set up an account at that web site. But now I did, and added presets to it.
In your app, I went to that feature, entered my live365 user name and password, and it worked--I saw the presets I had just set at that site. One major problem though--when I clicked on the presets, none of them would play! Again, only error messages.
So, if your "support" of Live365 in that version only consisted of retrieving the presets set on that site, I'm not sure what value that has, if the stations will not play in your app. If that was the case, I can see why you would drop that "support".
If, however, you can add support so that your app can actually play Live365 stations, something of which I have not yet found one j2me app that can do that, that would really give your program an advantage over the others. (With the Windows Mobile phone I had, various WM apps I used could play Live365 stations with no problem, but I have yet to find a j2me app that can do so.) (I don't understand why. I don't know what is different about Live365 from other Internet radio stations.)
To sum up--"support" of live365 stations does not mean retrieving a list of presets, but means being able to play the stations! If yours could do that, this would be a real advantage to your app!
If you can find a way to play the URL I gave you above (of FM radio station KXLU, Los Angeles) (the home URL of the station is www.kxlu.com), in any of your versions, and I try it and it works for me, I may very well buy your app. Please let me know.
Thank you,
Mike

Yes, Sergey,
Please send me the link to version 1.92.
I can tell you that on my phone, it is impossible to add any stations in the demo of 2.02. One cannot add them at all.In the view of "Radio List", I see only two buttons-Back and Play. No option to Add.
In any case though, since my interest in your product is the ability to play Live365 stations, as there are freeware players that will play Shoutcast, Icecast, and other stations, I am no longer interested in version 2.02, since you say it no longer supports Live365, I would be interested in trying version 1.92 however, and I hope I can add stations, and that my Live365 stations will work with it.
You might want to reconsider the dropping of support for live365, however, as it is one thing that separates your product (if it works) from the freeware players. Most FM stations in the US broadcast Live365.
Of course, that is up to you,
In any case, please send me the link to 1.92, so I can try it. Thank you.

mWebPlayer is a commercial software and it is up to me as an author how to make the demo version work and which functionalities should be included. You think it is better to make it as a trialware, mu opinion is to make it in a way as it works now.
About adding new stations you are wrong! You can easy add a new station to play list and try it. You just CANNOT SAVE your changes after exiting the application. If you don't like how it works - you will not buy it. Is it fair enough?
I especially added to demo playlist radio stations with different bitrates as well as a few RTSP links to give users possibility to test how it will play in their networks.
As for playing Live365 stations the new version 2.00 does not support such functionality anymore. Unfortunately not so many users were interested in this and I decided to remove that function. Instead of it I am planning to add capability to select new stations directly from ShoutCast directory.
If you are interesting in playing your Live365 stations you can try the old 1.9.2 version, I will send you the link.
Regards,
Sergey

I have not been able to find before this, an Internet Radio app for java phones, that will play Live365 stations. Yours advertises that ability.
Yet, I see no way to try out, if the app can play some of my favorite stations.
When I click "Radio List", I see a small group of your selected stations, none of which interest me.
There is supposed to be an "Add" function there, to add a station. However, it does not appear in the demo version.
There are free java Internet radio apps, that will play Shoutcast and Icecast stations, but not Live365. The only reason I would consider buying your product, is for the ability to play Live365 stations.
Yet, if I cannot try out the stations I would wish to play, there is no way I would buy the product.
You should not cripple your product to such an extent, that the users cannot adequately try it out! Better to have the demo full-featured, and expire in 30 days.
Tell me how to try out, if your app will work on MY OWN favorite Live365 stations. I need to be able to try them out, to see if I am interested in purchasing your program.
Thank you,
Mike
